“Do your best and don’t let your fears stand in the way of your dreams.”
– Christopher Donalty, 1998
Where Do Funds Go?
All funds raised will directly help raise money to help find a CURE for epilepsy. They will be used to help fund grants for epilepsy research. CURE is the proud recipient of Charity Navigator’s highest rating. 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to epilepsy research and awareness efforts.
This event is the sixth CURE benefit in the Mohawk Valley. To date, individuals, foundations, and corporations have contributed over $1.16 million, which has enabled CURE to fund eleven cutting-edge research grants.
All proceeds from this year’s benefit will go directly to fund epilepsy research, which will benefit the thousands of people in our community who have epilepsy.
And KUDOS to the Mohawk Valley for leading CURE nationally in fundraising efforts! To date, the Mohawk Valley has pulled together to be a top fundraising area for epilepsy research — thanks to your continued dedication and generosity.
Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) is a grassroots organization founded in 1998 by parents of children with epilepsy, who were unwilling to sit back and accept the devastation of seizures and the side effects of treatments. CURE raises funds to spearhead the search for a cure. Christopher’s mother, Jeanne Donalty, represents our area on CURE’s board of directors.
